Babak Ghahremani
Owner, Founder & Creative Director of Jee Cultural Center
Babak Ghahremani is an interdisciplinary artist, author, curator, and cultural researcher, as well as the owner and founder of Jee Cultural Center. He established Jee in 2010 with the aim of creating an independent platform connecting art, culture, critical thought, and technology. Operating between Tehran and Barcelona, Jee has developed into a space for meaningful exchange among artists, audiences, and cultural institutions across Iran and Europe.
Jee reflects Ghahremani’s interdisciplinary approach to culture—one that brings together visual arts, photography, literature, publishing, cinema, theatre, education, digital media, and cultural research within a dynamic and evolving structure. Its various divisions, including Jee Gallery, JeeBoard, Jee Publisher, Jee Production House, and Jee Home Gallery, pursue this vision through exhibitions, publications, film and theatre productions, literary and educational programmes, artist residencies, and international cultural exchange.
As Jee’s founder and creative director, Babak Ghahremani is responsible for shaping the organisation’s cultural vision, strategic direction, and the development of its projects in Iran and Europe. His work at Jee is a natural extension of his artistic practice and ongoing research into art, philosophy, artificial intelligence, image, language, and symbolic systems.
For Ghahremani, Jee is not merely a gallery or a cultural organisation. It is a living platform for dialogue, experimentation, creation, and the continuous redefinition of meaning—a space that seeks to build lasting connections among artists, ideas, media, generations, and different cultural geographies.
